Product FAQ
What is Stro?
Stro is a weighted posture-training device designed to support posture awareness during seated activities such as working, studying, or focusing. Rather than physically pulling your body into a particular position, Stro changes how different postures feel, helping you become more aware of how you sit throughout the day.
How does Stro work?
Stro rests just below the collarbones and subtly changes the balance of the upper body. Slouched positions tend to feel heavier and less stable, while more upright positions may feel lighter and more balanced.
Over time, this feedback can help you practise and reinforce better postural habits.
Does Stro force my shoulders back?
No. Unlike many posture devices, Stro is not designed to pull your shoulders back or hold your body in a fixed position. Instead, it provides feedback that encourages you to adjust your posture naturally.
Is Stro a medical device?
No. Stro is a posture-training device designed to support posture awareness and training. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
Which size should I choose?
The 450 g model (19.5 cm wide) is suitable for most women and men with smaller frames. The 800 g model (23 cm wide) is designed for broader frames, typically men above approximately 175 cm.
If you’re unsure, we generally recommend choosing the lighter option.
How long should I wear Stro?
You can start with short sessions and gradually increase the duration as you become accustomed to the sensation. Some people may prefer a few minutes at a time, while others may choose to wear Stro for longer periods during focused work or study.
Can I wear Stro while walking or exercising?
No. Stro is intended for seated use only. Remove it before walking, exercising, driving, sleeping, or caring for children.
Will Stro feel uncomfortable at first?
Many people notice fatigue within 5 minutes, particularly if they are not used to maintaining an upright posture for extended periods. Starting with shorter sessions and gradually increasing the duration can help your body adapt.
If you immediately feel pain or dizziness, make sure that the device is fitted correctly. If the pain or dizziness persists, please stop use and reach out to Stro.
